After being illiminated from the Pop Idols contest at the Top-10 semi-finals in 2002, I chose to continue writing music.  Back then I was just past my teens: a young man whose passions were at the height of youth.  However, as if to spir me on in disappointment, the girl I was wanting to marry proved to be disloyal, but the pain allowed me to write songs with a deeper emotional flavour.  This is how this album came to be.  Though I had already taken to spiritual practice for 5 years or so already, my spiritual growth was slow, with very little devotional mentorship and association, while the passions of youth predominated by far.  The music scene was a place filled with that same sensuality and I was still caught up in it.  Many of those love songs went from hopeful to despair to healing therapy for myself.

At the same time, the title track, while helping me to move forward in life, had another inspiration.  A musician friend of mine, Mr. Tom Kingston who was also an excellent sound engineer, had a step-daughter who was repeatedly sexually abused by her father.  When he told me her story, I was moved to tears, but decided to direct the song I was just starting out to write, also with the purpose of helping her heal. Thus was born the song "Everything Will be All Right".

Now, I realize that my mainly spiritually inclined audience might not find much of these songs very meaningful, given their largely sensual direction, but it is evidence for myself to take heart looking back, noting how far I have come from those sad and lonely days.  The past is a yardstick measure of progress up to the present, and to look forward to the future with confidence, knowing how effective the spiritual process I now follow with much more grounding, has been thus far.

So why did I bother to release all this music from back then, now that I have a spiritual basis for writing music and can do so much better with songs of a purer, meditative mood?
Well, gratitude is a virtue.  I have received support and appreciation from so many who enjoyed the music I had produced from back then, that I feel grateful for that, and wish to reciprocate.  it's also a question of simple and heart-felt gratitude to my dear parents.
my father and mother were unhappy to see all that hard work and talent go to waste.  So really, this is more of a gift to my parents, who tried so hard for this throughout my childhood.  They never gave up on me as a blind child, and They were determined to make me a successful musician so that I could one day fend for myself in the world.  How can I not be grateful to such parents?

Every holiday back home from boarding school, my father would take me from studio to studio, producing demo tapes; live shows one after another to promote my talent, and promoting me at every talent contest.  Despite himself not being well connected or knowing the ropes of the music industry too well, he tried really hard in its tough underworld to get me in some how or other, culminating in my first record deal with Universal Music in 2003.  He spent more money on recording studio demos, buying music equipment, and on befriending the guys he thought could make it happen for me, than I would probably ever earn in my entire adult life!

Of course, my mother was equally supportive and her attention to detail in my appearance on stage, her cool headedness in keeping me humble and well mannered despite the fame and glamour, travelling with me to all my venues, and of course the great food she always cooked that did not help my pop-idols trigger figure :-) who cannot be greatful to such a mum?

So with that history in order, I hope you will appreciate the album for all that went into it.
